IREM S.p.A. was founded in 1979 by a group of professionals with a solid experience record in the mechanical construction business. The company head office is in Syracuse, on the eastern coast of Sicily.
At the beginning the activities were carried out in Syracuse Industrial area, the hub of a large concentration of refineries and petrochemical plants, among the broadest ones in Europe. Consequently this area has become a large basin of highly skilled construction work force and qualified staff.
Later on IREM S.p.A. has set up some companies, all fully controlled, each one specialised in a field of operations, in order to operate as Main Contractor, so optimising economics and efficiency. IREM S.p.A. as team leader of these Group of firms, is able to deliver complete services in several fields: design, planning, erection and maintenance of industrial plants of every type, by offering the customer economic and organization advantages, thanks to the sensible use of its resources answering to a single responsibility.
IREM S.p.A. by using the best of all these resources has developed its activities and has extended its operations to all European and some foreign countries, like Saudi Arabia, North Africa, South and Central America.
