IREM takes a new step forward in social responsibility by adopting and certifying its Management System according to the international SA8000:2014 standard, issued by DNV (Det Norske Veritas), one of the world’s most authoritative certification bodies.
SA8000 is a voluntary yet globally recognized standard that certifies full compliance with ethical and social principles inspired by ILO conventions and international human rights. A tangible commitment that translates into concrete protection for all people working at IREM, including: a safe working environment, fair wages, equal opportunities, absence of discrimination, working hours compliant with regulations, freedom of representation, and a management system oriented toward continuous improvement.
The integration of SA8000 with the company’s existing certifications – ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 – further strengthens IREM’s organizational model, aligning it with the most advanced ESG criteria. This certification represents added value both nationally, by improving the internal work climate, transparency and stakeholder trust, and internationally, where social compliance is increasingly a strategic requirement for collaborating with major industrial groups and entering new sustainable supply chains.
A result that confirms IREM’s commitment to placing people at the center, building solid, responsible and forward-looking growth. Today, business development and social responsibility are inseparably connected.
