Yesterday, the IREM Group made one of its most iconic venues available to Sicily. Palazzo Borgia del Casale, overlooking Piazza Duomo in Ortigia, hosted the “Act Tank Sicilia 2026” territorial roundtable, promoted by The European House – Ambrosetti and TEHA Group.
The event was opened by IREM CEO Giovanni Musso, alongside Cavaliere Sebastiano “Nello” Messina, President and Co-founder of IREM, and Engineer Mario Saraceno. Also in attendance were Gian Piero Reale, President of Confindustria Siracusa, and Gioacchino Amato, representing BAPS.
In his opening remarks, Musso shared IREM’s firsthand experience and perspective, highlighting the Group’s involvement in green steel projects in Sweden and Germany, the H2-SR project in Priolo Gargallo, and the SouthH2 Corridor, which will position Sicily as a European hydrogen hub.
"A new development model for Sicily is already taking shape—one driven by natural resources, political commitment, and businesses ready to invest. By focusing on education and human capital, Sicily has the potential to become a leading player in both the national and international economic landscape," said Musso.
A historic palace, a company deeply rooted in its territory, and a vision firmly focused on the future.
