IREM is investing in young people and opening 2026 with a strong focus on skills. At its headquarters in Siracusa, the new Planner training course of the permanent Academy “PartIREMo con le competenze” has officially begun, developed in collaboration with Randstad Italia and Rotary District 2110 Sicily–Malta. Eleven young participants from the local area will take part in more than 230 hours of training covering planning, English and IT skills, supported by IREM’s internal instructors and tutors, with the aim of becoming key professionals in the management of industrial projects in Italy and abroad.
According to CEO Giovanni Musso, Planners are “strategic figures for meeting deadlines and objectives on international construction sites”, and the decision to develop these skills internally represents “a tangible investment in the future of young people and the local community”.
Randstad supports the project because, as Bruno Piccoli explains, “this is no longer an experiment, but a model that brings together recruitment, skills development and real employment opportunities”.
The social value of the initiative is highlighted by Davide Cappellani of Rotary District 2110 Sicily–Malta: “professional training is one of the most concrete ways to create employment and give young people the opportunity to build their future”.
For Marcella Saraceno, IREM’s HR Manager, “commitment, dedication and the willingness to challenge oneself are essential, because skills are always recognised”.
A pathway that strengthens IREM’s competitiveness while generating value for the local territory.
